Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia Volubilis Linneo) is a also known as the Inca nut and is harvested for its seeds that are encased inside a 4-7 star-shaped pod. In a 2013 study published in Food Chemistry, Sacha inchi seeds should be considered as an important dietary source of health promoting phytochemicals.
